Dr. William Wolf is an experienced board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon. According to the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Board certification is a valuable way physicians can demonstrate their commitment to the highest quality care. Board certification sets the physician apart as a recognized specialist in the eyes of patients, hospitals, employers, and insurers. Certification is the gold standard for medical specialization in the United States. Board certification is a voluntary process.  A Board certified physician has met certain standards and passed tests that are developed to assure the public that he or she has been adequately trained in a given specialty.trained in Orthopedics.

Dr. Wolf received his undergraduate degree in Biology/Neurophysiology from Princeton University, his M.D. from George Washington University School of Medicine, and served his orthopedic residency at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. He served a fellowship in Sports Medicine in Richmond, Virginia, and returned to the Washington, D.C area for practice, serving on the clinical staff at Georgetown University Hospital and the George Washington University Hospital, as well as directing the Sports Medicine education program at the National Rehabilitation Hospital and the Sports Medicine Department at the Capitol Hill Hospital.

He practiced for twenty years in Montgomery County, Maryland, managing his five physician practice and serving during that period as Chief of Orthopedics at a local hospital. He also actively cared for some members of the Women’s Olympic Gymnastics team through three Olympic Games (Barcelona, Atlanta, Bejing). He moved his family to Middleburg, Virginia and is pleased to join the Virginia Pain and Wellness Center in Reston, Virginia. He is very involved in the Environmental Preservation community, having served as a Director of the Piedmont Environmental Council for ten years, and along with his wife Elizabeth and daughters Isabella (UVA ’13) and Alexandra (Wake Forest ’14) actively participates in the local equestrian community. He is also a current Director of the Oatlands Foundation.
